Confessions of a Nudeplayer

In the beginning there was a cosplayer. This cosplayer wants to do something other than cosplaying. So nudeplay was born.

Gawd, I can't explain so much why I became a nudeplayer. I made up the thing itself and proclaimed me the only nudeplayer in the universe. How's that? How's that for someone who has no biceps and triceps and pecs and abs and such?

Maybe it had something to do when Hitsuzen Inc's PIRATED project. That was last year. I played Franky so I had to be in briefs. Oh yeah, I roamed the shooting area in blue underwear. And I didn't care. It was summer anyways. The thing is, I've been exposing myself nude in various media since Multiply times. I even have this video of myself doing dirty dancing. It's nothing serious. It's just for the LOLs.

Then there came one night, I was so effin bored and for the heck of killing my time, I posed nude in the camera with my Naruto makeup still on. And seeing my raw photos, I thought to myself, 'This is cool!' I wanted to make s'more.

Oh no, I never had delusions of myself being a cool nude Naruto. Again, it's for the LOLs. I wanted to feed my ego, I wanted to rake comments in Facebook and that's it. When I posted the pictures, many people were shocked. Those who were shocked much were my closest buds. They kept on telling me I lost my wholesome image. Bullshit! Did I ever have a wholesome image? So I posted in my status, 'I'm prone to underestimation. So I love shocking people of what I'm capable of'.

After Naruto, there's more. And comments flooded. It's like I became the new sensation. I'm not so sure if they mean what they say...that they love what I'm doing. Like duh?! I mean...c'mon, it's nudeplay, I'm polluting everyone's mind. It's something taboo. How could you love such? Not just such...how could you love such an ugly creature with ugly features exposing his ugly parts? I understand they didn't want to hurt my feelings. But well, I also wish to have haters.

I had nudeplay hiatus earlier this year not because I wanted to stop. The camera that I've been using for it had been malfunctioning and I couldn't take good photos. FYI, I've been taking the photos myself putting the camera auto. Yes, I'm the model, the concept designer, the makeup artist, and the photographer at the same time. It's one thing that makes me proud of doing nudeplay...it's all my WORK. My purest ART.

And speaking of art, yes, some people are open minded enough to think of my naked poses as art. I praise them people. Want my autograph?

My hiatus was over. I finally acquired a good camera for making nudeplay's comeback. So I started posting photos again in Facebook. Gee, I was overwhelmed by those people who kept on commenting they miss this and that and so on. A friend even told me my photos are already leaked in Luzon and people there are asking, WHO THE FUCK IS THIS FUCKIN NUDEPLAYER?!'

For reals? I got haters?! Heaven!

And then last week, I was shocked when Facebook deleted one of my nudeplay pics (the one in ANBU with my first ever butt exposure) and warned me that I violated the rules of the social network. I was enraged! Enraged as in capital P-I-S-S-E-D O-F-F.

So I burst in my status. Of the gazillion pics posted in FB everyday, Mark Zuckerberg would never mind my scandalous art...I bet my ass. So how come they noticed me? BECAUSE SOMEONE...OR SOMEPEOPLE REPORTED ME.

I was hurt. I don't care hudahel were those people who reported me. It's the fact that I ONLY TAGGED MY CLOSEST FRIENDS. Did someone betray me? Did someone finally gave up his/her plastic nature and wanted to slap the truth in mah face? Or maybe I was wrong. Maybe one of my friends tagged somebody who reads the Bible everyday and reported me as spam so my evil won't spread anymore. Whatever!

YOU SPAT ON MY ART. YOU STOLE MY FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. YOU LAMBASTED MY PRIDE. YOU WANTED TO ERASE MY EXISTENCE BECAUSE I WAS BORN THAT WAY. SO FUCK YOU!

And to all my haters, I HATE YOU TOO! I hate you because you hate me in the wrong way. I love haters who hate me because they know me. I hate you haters who hate me because you just feel like hating me. You're just jumping in the bandwagon of haters who hate me because hating me makes them famous.

I love anything posted in Bacolod Wild. I was proud that my Franky pic was posted in there. But hello?! To that someone who said 'Gago ni siya nga Franky'...FUCK YOU! I'm not 'gago'. I graduated Valedictorian in elementary, I was a government scholar in a Science High School for four years, and I graduated college cum laude. Why don't we meet face to face so I can slap in your ugly face the myriad medals I got?

Thank you to those people who noticed my flaw-ful skin. I'm so proud enough to expose them. I'm proud of my scars, because they remind me of my adventures, my pains, my desperate attempts to get some life. I'm proud of my imperfections because they serve as a boundary between me and God. I'm proud of my ugliness because it makes me unique. No one out there can be as ugly as me. Period.

For now, I'm banned to post photos in Facebook. It's a cruel punishment for an egotistic being like me. No, I will not create a new account. Still, there are many ways to exhibit my art. Just like what Sue Sylvester said to Will Schuster, ''Trophies are like herpes. The more you want to get rid of them, they more the come back.''

Talk to the Hand!

The Hitsuzen Inc is almost 6 months now as a group. Together with the Talisay Chapter headed by Mao, this group is making its way to be on at its peak. This is all defined by TRUST, UNDERSTANDING, DISCIPLINE and having FUN.

Trust- noun: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence. (thanks to Merriam)

This is the basic component that a group must have. Trust is essential. (Green minded people F off).
As a group, we experienced almost all of the possible odds in a short span of time. We have been deprived, insulted, argued.. name it. But everything ran smoothly as the days passed. We have managed to create a team with the indirect help of Tinta. We actually want to be part of their team before! but they have taught us (indirectly) of making our own group. We exhausted all of the possible options, managed to get people from the internet, using social networks (Thanks to Plurk and Facebook), texting common friends etc. Unfortunately, most of them declined.

Now history repeats itself as we are now placed on the hot seat. We actually don't want to be branded as an exclusive group. But we are here to help you hone your own group. Hmm one of the best example is the Team Batotoi. They are my colleagues and we discussed cosplay and anime stuffs before and after work over a cup of coffee. They have formed their own group independently and manage to act as a group. So massive ups for these type of people. :D


Understanding

Coming up with an idea or a project isn't easy. There will a be a few people that would disagree, they are called as the minority. We have different ideas and different perceptions on how we see things, on how we define things because of different factors also affecting (mentioned by Katz in her note). But being part of the majority, you have to learn how to RESPECT and also understand the minority. The minority always has the right to be heard and it will again undergo a thorough discussion. See, it's not that easy. Just look into the bright side and see how things run smoothly as planned.

Discipline

One of the factor the we aren't that furnished. Since we are just a few months old, I think we're still not that disciplined and mature as a group. We are still on the learning process, it may be slow but we are certain that we are learning. We are still on the process on how to handle things more responsibly and more disciplined.

Nyaa! Mine is Miss Kristell Lim. :)

Well it started because I am a fanatic of Fairy Tail and 'twas on my cosplay plans. So I did research for some cosplay photos and guess what? I saw someone who cosplayed Erza Scarlet! I was like "OMG! OMG! Someone cosplayed Erza Scarlet! Who is she? Tell meeeeey. Whoa! She is totally cute." I just can't stop staring at her photos. It was Miss Kristell Lim. She is a goddess. A heart throbbing, ground shaking, jaw dropping cosplayer. Her costume was made by Sir Lyron Aquino. Another kewl cosplayer but still Miss Kristell Lim is much kewler. No one can ever beat her. I have a picture of her inside my wallet. A shirt printed with "I ♥ Kristell Lim". A tarpaulin printed with her Erza Scarlet cosplay on the wall in my room.




This photo is the one that is in my room. Nyaa! Shes the one responsible for making my day complete. She always sets up my mood. And on her fan page I told her if she's free on July for the next Cyberzone Cosplay Competion. I really really want to see her in person! Oh! Wait, wait, wait, she reponded to my post.

I am hoping that she could attend. If ever she does I will definitely roll on the floor! Nyahahaha. But not in front of her. That would make me idiotic. Hahaha. I'll do everything I can just to see her. Am I already stalking? No, no, no, I'm not stalking. I'm a fanatic of Miss Kristell Lim.



Hatsune Miku!? Damn! This is just too perfect. Even though I don't really like Vocaloids. She's making me insaaaane! Ey?! What if she'll cosplay Rose from Dragon Crisis. OMFG! I will scream my lungs out if she do. But that's kinda gay. By the way Rose is my "crush" in Dragon Crisis. Thus, I will bow down before her. I'll be her slave. Nah, I want to be her escort. Nyahahaha.

I support local mangakas!

Come Animotion 2010, I was shocked of a local manga being sold at the cosplay site. Whoa! There's a local mangaka around?

I bought a copy and asked...who's the mangaka?



And there! It's Shida Shinpan!

I grabbed the opportunity and asked for an autograph. Coz I thought...this man will gonna be famous someday. At least I had his autograph before he's there.

The first issue had two manga stories. In Her World is a story of a cool boy meets weird girl. Rising Underground on the other hand is a story of tough robot-like people fighting soldiers.

I heart In Her World. Maybe because I can relate.

Last Kusupure Deto, the Volume 2 of the series was released. I bought my copy of course.



And recently, Volume 2.5 is out. Blots Inc's ROOK is included...another series by my dear mangaka friends Katz and Co.

Seems like Ice Cream Indie is indeed getting there.

It's almost a month now but I still keep on receiving random acknowledgment from those people who have witnessed the event. I think this note came in late but it's never too late to thank all those people who have supported and appreciated all of the efforts that we have given to this project.

First, Thanks to Tinta Prod's for making this event possible. Two teams are better than one. I know everyone had a great time during the event, but what I enjoyed the most is the camaraderie that we have nurtured against from all the hassles and issues. I look up and salute Katz-sama for being firm and knowledgeable in all her actions. Thanks to Elisa, Sai, Bian, Julie and ofcourse Fufu-chan for the outstanding companionship. I'm still hoping to work with you all soon :D

Thanks to my co-Hitsuzen core, for being supportive and resilient to all of the circumstances. To Mac, who have been the most active member of the group (may it be on photoshoots and cosplays).. I salute you for giving most of your time and effort for the group. I know that you deserve the spot to be the leader of this fated team. To Elle, who have motivated me to become a good cosplayer, thank you for the trust and by objectively criticizing my cosplays.To Von, who never gets tired of "promulgating" his amazing ideas, Sankyu!. To Po-kun, Vench, Metz, Razel and Romel, thank you for the funny times, the laughs and the crazy ideas. *GROUP HUG*

Thanks to all the participants, who lately became my FB friends here,thanks for being part of BAcolod's Cosplay History! :D I'm hoping to meet you soon again in future cons and also work in little group projects. FYI: Im very much open with cosplay requests too, as long as you provide me time to prepare. HAHA!

However, I'm not able to list all of your names here but I trully appreciate all of the comments and violent reactions that you have posted on my wall, photo comments, private messages, chats and friend requests. I can barely remember the person's name but this girl who gave me a Kakashi keychain, I'm looking for you. :D

I only realized that I'm already a certified cosplayer when someone left a comment on one of my Kakashi photos stating "You gave justice to the character", It made me uber happy and teary eyed too (I'm quite emotional on these kind of things). It made me feel that I've pulled off the character and made it come to life (which will always be my goal as a cosplayer). A thousand of thanks will not be enough but I hope this note acknowledges all of your appreciations. I LOVE YOU ALL! :D

So now, everyone is cramming and asking about if there will be a next event. There will be for sure and I hope to see you guys on future cons :D I hope that we will always keep this little promise in ourselves and always support this growing community. Towards a better cosplay community! WE HEART COSPLAY MOVEMENT.♥

Okay, here's the truth about my cosplay idols. How much I want myself to like Jin Joson or Alodia Gosiengfiao. Yes, they're epic. But they're girls. I find it hard to be a fan of girls.

For me 'fandom' is not limited with 'liking'. For me, it's 'inspiration'.

It's like I'M A FAN OF MANNY PACQUIAO. I WANT TO BE MANNY PACQUIAO SOMEDAY.

Got that?

In other words, when I become a fan of someone, that someone is what I want to become someday.

So I can never be a fan of Alodia and Jin. I don't want to have a vagina someday.

It was an awesome August for this year!

Full of fun, excitement, thrill and what-not.

Hitsuzen VIP Kai as Ciel PhantomhiveI accompanied Kai in Davao in representing Bacolod for the SM Cyberzone Cosplay Tournament Finals. He cosplayed Ciel Phantomhive from the anime series Black Butler. He did an awesome job and I did saw a great improvement from him. I didn't regret to say YES when he asked me to come w/ him as his cosplay duo for the finals. We supposed tp have a short musical skit for his act, but little did we know that human props are not allowed (which we thought that it wouldn't be an issue since it wasn't disclosed on their general guidelines or EVEN in the waiver).

Anyways! It's fun to meet new people! new cosplayers! and new friends! We first met CDO cosplayer Lexter : Optimus Prime followed by the lovely ladies during Kai's rehearsals (Zhel, Yuki and Maki). Cool.

Congratulations to Optimus Prime! Oyeah! We weren't able to see him after the event,just in case you happen to read this, I do congratulate you for winning and for being so kind and friendly!

Yuki! you're such a great Suguinto! Maki, my co-PA, thanks for the companionship and photo tips! and ofcourse! Zhel! Thank you very much for showing us Davao's hospitable nature and also to your friends, Dennis, En, Ms. Joy (Ambox) and the rest of the guys, thanks for showing us around.

The importance of having a cosplay team

I didn’t expect getting this far with cosplaying.

I began as a camwhore myself...realizing later on that plain camwhoring was mere egotism. With cosplay, I gotta pose with a purpose. That’s why I’m so into it.

Come late 2008, I was an independent cosplayer. I had to prepare my costumes alone, manage my shoots alone, enjoy my outputs alone. Oh well, I longed to meet people who could understand me and appreciate my craft at least. There’s Cosplay Bacolod. But the question was...how would I get in?

October last year, I managed to meet some friends who were desperate to cosplay in Electric Masskara. No...forming a team wasn’t on our minds yet. We just wanted to cosplay by joining the rest of the cosplayers in Lacson Street. We wanted to become members of Cosplay Bacolod...or of TINTA Productions as we knew it.

We wanted to be part of the family...but we never made it.

Now look at the brighter side.

The rest was history. We were so naive. We tried to contact Cosplay Bacolod slash TINTA Productions about joining the group but we failed to meet our demands. In the end, we decided to cosplay on our own...thinking that Cosplay Bacolod was ‘exclusive’ for TINTA core members and their friends. It was later on that we realized our mistake and misunderstanding.

HITSUZEN INC was born. We strived to be stable so that we could stand against the giants of cosplaying in the city. We formed a TEAM because we felt it was a need...and that we had enough of trying to be on a group that we just don’t belong. And with that, we earned some good outcomes. I was grateful to meet new friends...friends that I could trust no matter what and are enjoyable to work with.

Eventually, we were able to settle our problem with TINTA Productions...who was managing Cosplay Bacolod. The bitterness we had from the start was transformed into a good friendship and we ended up respecting each other. Now here’s our enlightenment: TINTA Productions is a TEAM, COSPLAY BACOLOD is a gathering of cosplayers whether they have a team or not. We couldn’t be members of TINTA but we could be members of COSPLAY BACOLOD.

TINTA Productions, somehow, showed us what a Cosplay Team is like. When it comes to cosplaying, a large number of people is difficult to manage. So having a team is an ease. It’s nice working with a few people whom you can trust and that you understand one another.

Before we knew it, HITSUZEN INC – BACOLOD was getting serious and the bonds we formed became strong. Along with it, the tide was turned. With our team becoming known all over the province, a lot of inquiries arose. It seemed like history is repeating itself and we are on the hot seat. PEOPLE NOW ARE ASKING IF HOW THEY COULD JOIN HITSUZEN INC.

In lieu with this, we would like to share these enlightenments.

*We couldn’t say NO because people might think we’re EXCLUSIVE. Just as we thought that TINTA Productions/Cosplay Bacolod before was exclusive.

*We couldn’t say YES on the other hand because with a growing number of people joining us, the essence of being a ‘team’ will be marred.

*HITSUZEN INC – BACOLOD is a TEAM...a group composed of nine active members each with a corresponding function.

*HITSUZEN INC – BACOLOD is not an ORGANIZATION that is open for interested members and caters their needs.

More and more cosplayers in the province are becoming active. After ANBU Fest 2010, we realized that cosplay is no longer happening in Bacolod City. We had cosplayers who hailed as far as Himamaylan City in the south and Sagay City in the north. Hence, COSPLAY BACOLOD will no longer be applicable.

*WE HEART COSPLAY MOVEMENT (WHCM) is the new COSPLAY BACOLOD.

*WE HEART COSPLAY MOVEMENT is not a TEAM which has exclusive projects for its core members.

*WE HEART COSPLAY MOVEMENT is an ORGANIZATION that is open for interested cosplayers and cosplay teams.

WOW! It seems like the art of cosplaying is getting much here in the province. This is not a matter of egotism anymore. We talk about teams and orgs and such. Well, the future of cosplay in the province is bright indeed.

After all, having a team or an org is not required for cosplay. If you have the PASSION, you can cosplay all the time. Let’s not stain the art by just jumping in the bandwagon. Wear costumes but do not lose your sense of identity.

As I said, I didn’t expect getting this far with cosplaying. And I never thought my simple sentiment about cosplay teamwork would make an article this long. I told myself I don’t have to do this. But well, if it’s for the betterment of everyone, why not?

A Dream Come True

I always wanted to be in conventions. Too bad I live in province in a third world country where cosplay is just a less appreciated juvenile art.

I wanted to go to conventions in Cebu.

I wanted to go to conventions in Manila.

Or better yet...I wanted to go to conventions in Japan!

But well, I'm stuck here.

So this is my brainchild. Why go there if you could do it here?

I miss you.

It will always take a lot of time, understanding and trust to gain a close friendship with someone else. It is a fragile thing that really does require as much handling as any other fragile and precious thing.We cannot determine the exact time that friendship is formed, it is mutual.. an overwhelming feeling. I'm happy to encounter these people along the way and I wanna make you feel that every bit of you is appreciated.



I'm actually bothered not because I'm losing some of my closest friends, but I know some people who are under this situation. I DON'T MEAN to pry but it's just that... it really does bother me. Seeing some of my friends having some conflicts with their friends is such a heartache. I don't know why I feel that I'm carrying the burden, but I guess.. I just feel that there is something that can be done before everything ends. Let's admit that we made mistakes, we're not perfect. We all have our own flaws. I just hope that there will be room for forgiveness.

I miss seeing happy faces like these..


we can't play the same games before but...

as a member of the HITSUZEN, it dosen't mean if you dislike or misunderstood the person, you will end everything, you should face it , and give chances, because whatever happens, Time will come that you and the person that you don't like to be with, will need him/her because of the connections and friendship made between you and the person. and for those who said that they will stop cosplaying: please don't say that, because even how many times you will say that you'll gonna stop being as COSPLAYER, you'll absolutely miss it! because many great things happens when you are a cosplayer.(tears) ang tanong, kay mo bang kalimutan at hindi makipag kita sa amin? even now, we miss those days right? :D *phew. we just started everything, and we are still at the beginning, lets continue the story of our lives together, as we go along. OMG! Only THE FORCE knows how much I love Star Wars again. Watching Star Wars Clone Wars ignited my long forgotten obsession. I wanna live in galaxy far far away one more.

Joycel and I have been planning to cosplay Star Wars characters soon. He wanted to be Anakin...and since I'm his senior, I will be Obi-wan Kenobi. We will make it epic. So we're taking our time.

But geez, after having a photo op with Darth Vader and Boba Fett...I just died. I wanna rush my Star Wars cosplay.

May the force be with us all.

My one year in Konohagakure.

Today I celebrate my first year in Konohagakure. It's been a year since I bought the pirated Naruto DVD Collection at 888 and entered the world of Naruto. Wow, it's been just a year but it seems I grew up with Naruto and his friends all along.

I didn't have any idea about Naruto until late 2008. Though, I love ninjas ever since. Oh well, when I was introduced to Naruto, my world was turned upside down. Change of lifestyle. My room became full of Naruto collectibles, I began studying Nipponggo, I was addicted to cosplay...and anything Japanese. Seriously, I love Naruto.

I learned a lot about this boy who was from zero to hero. He's my new best friend...since Harry Potter grew up fast after the last book and married Ginny. Haha. Yeah, I was an HP freak way back but now that Voldemort's dead, I got to find a new pal. I could see myself in Naruto. He loves his friends and so do I. And I admit, his set of friends is what I wanted to have...for reals.

Naruto's world is a beautiful complexity. That's why I consider Masashi Kishimoto a god. I met a lot of characters and they're awesome. To mention a few, I love Rock Lee, Shikamaru, Itachi, and Hinata. Haha. These people have something in common with me...striving against all odds, wisdom, the love for a sibling, and secret feelings.

Naruto is not all about the heroes. It also gives a glimpse at the life of villains...making us understand how they came up evil. And that has something to do with cruelty of life as is. Everything has a reason. Now Naruto has only his charm to change things.

It makes me sad whatever is happening to the latest chapters in the manga. Everything gets darker. It's disturbing how everything started so happy and then crumble to ruins. Oh well, let's just hope for a very good ending.

My battle as a cosplayer.

I'm eLe =) but I prefer to be called eLeChi (dunno, just love the nick- sounds like chibi xD)

Anyways. I started cosplaying just last year..I meant officially started (with a group etc..) coz I've always been a cosplayer at heart even before I started officially

Before I cosplayed last year's October, I'm already in a review for my board.

Now here's were the conflict starts...

I freakin' FAILED my board =X. Now my MOTHER blamed COSPLAY. >.<

Probably she's right for like 40% but she's really giving me a hell..

I don't hate my mom..(why would I?) It's my fault for failing the board anyway...

It's just that...I wish she would stop nagging me about cosplay.. =(
It really hurts to be told "Stop cosplaying or else I'll burn your cosplay stuffs and everything related to it" *ouch* is it too much...? idk =(

No matter how I tried saying to her that its not the COSPLAY's entire fault why I failed (coz not attending reviews was my choice & I wasn't even cosplaying during those times...just wandering around town haha) SHE JUST SIMPLY WON'T BELIEVE ME =(

I'm not really sure if whatever I'm sharing here right now makes any sense to anyone who reads this...I don't need sympathy either just trying to let this out..keeping this for weeks..aaaargggh it hurts =X

Now. I just have to prove HER wrong this this time. PROVE.

Why I wasn't in costume.

I'd just like to say that for me, cosplay is not a competition. It's my art, my passion. People asked me why I didn't join last saturday's competition (Kosupurei Deto) it's because for once, I'd like to be there as a fan, and not as a contestant. I wanted to watch cosplayers with out the mind set of winning or loosing, without the pressure of humiliating myself onstage... I just wanted to experience it from a new point of view.

The sight of cosplayers walking down the stage and introducing themselves.. people who have smile on their faces just taking pictures of cosplayers.. it already makes me feel like a winner.

So yeah.

I guess my point is that I really have love and passion for what I'm doing. And.. it kinda.. 'hurts' (dunno the right word for this part, hehe) If people keep asking my why i didn't join the COMPETITION. I join competitions, right. But I join because I want to share what I love with other cosplayers who share the same passion as I do. I'm not aiming for the prize because seeing people's happy expressions when you cosplay their favorite character, heraing them cheer for you and taking pictures with you... that's already the best prize any cosplayer could recieve.

And yeah. I only wore a wig and a forehead protector to KosDeto because I didn't bother wearing a costume. I knew very well that all I was going to do the entire day was to help Katz-nee, take photos, fan-girl, run around the place, fan-girl, help Katz-nee and run around the place while fan-girling, taking photos and helping Katz-nee so i'd just ruin my costume. Teehee.

And message for the new guys.

Cosplay whoever character you want to. Don't be afraid of doubles. As long as you have the heart for it and you know you can do it, go on. No one's stopping you. ;)

I cosplayed Li Xingke from Code Geass w/ my cosplay date Yuu as Empress Tianzi. It was our dream cosplay pair after all and good thing that Katz (888's Event Manager) came up to this idea. :)
